Valentine’s Day: Super ideas
57It’s that time of the year again when Cupid makes his rounds. That time of the year when numerous hearts beat faster than their usual speeds and are struck with arrows of love and hope. It’s February 14th, Valentine’s day. It’s the time of the year to make your loved ones feel loved, that time of the year to win over new loves and that time of the year to feel loved. You could express love with flowers and chocolates or try out these super ideas which would not only make you win over your loved one but also make that someone special feel really special.
- Write a poem:
Poetry has the power to do wonders. A poem need not always be literally supreme, a couple of rhymes would do. It is the effort that matters. A verse as simple as:
"You took me to a place far far away,
You made me strong when life made me sway."
Could bring a smile to the face of your loved one. Keep trying and come up with some original poetry and surprise your lover on this special day.
2. Dedicate a song:
Ever heard the radio? A thousand programs enable listeners to dedicate a song to friends and lovers. This Valentine day surprise your lover by dedicating a song and tuning into the program while on a drive.
3. Sing a song:
Not everyone is good at it but then the effort is well worth a try. Put on a Karaoke disk if you are not good on the guitar and just blast it out. Sing to him/her with all the passion you have got and feel him/her melt in your arms.
4. Make a YouTube video:
YouTube has changed the way people express themselves. So better make use of the free service. Record your feelings into a video or create a movie of clippings of some special moments and post it on YouTube.

More Ideas:
1.
Create a collage:
Create a great collage of special moments, put your feelings into words and get the huge collage printed and framed. It could be a great keepsake and memory for the years to come.
2. Cook something special:
Tickle your lovers taste buds with his/her favourite dish made your way. A word of caution, practise well before the final mission. Like they say, practise makes a man perfect.
3. Write a love letter:
It’s easy to express feelings but putting them into words is one of the most difficult tasks in this world. So go ahead and forge the perfect love letter complete with quotes and lyrics.
4. Plan a surprise:
If none of the above work, just go ahead and plan a surprise. Arrange for a surprise dinner at the sea side or a candle light dinner at home. Keep a surprise gift in the wardrobe or in the bathroom, somewhere where it would be an awe inspiring moment to find it.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, go out there and put in your best. It would be well worth the while and all the trouble. Enjoy. Happy Valentine’s Day.
